Kristi Hamby
Hi I’m Kristi Hamby. I grew up in Calgary Alberta where I attended Mount Royal University for Interior Decorating, and SAIT for photography. After graduating from both programs I went on to work in Cochrane Alberta for a family run antique business. There I spent a number of years learning the craft of refinishing vintage and antique furniture.
After moving to Canmore in 2019 to pursue a more outdoor lifestyle, I began my own business specializing in wedding, family, and newborn photography. When I wasn’t behind the camera I was fulfilling another lifelong passion of working with children and was a teacher at Mountain Munchkin Daycare. After a year of working in childcare I decided to make my way back to Calgary to pursue Early Childhood Education through Lethbridge College, with the long term goal of becoming a kindergarten teacher.
Some of my hobbies outside of work include: Biking, hiking, skiing, rock climbing, running, horseback riding, and camping.
