Wendy Haskayne
I am Wendy Haskayne. I co-own and operate Millennium Kidz N Kare. It all started 27 years ago when I had my first child Kelsey and could not find child care in this neighbourhood. We had bought into this area knowing that the schools were amazing! I quit my job at Telus (then AGT) and started the neighbourhood day home, I had my second child Kaitlyn 2 years later and have never looked back.
I went to Bow Valley College where I earned an “A” in School Age Care and Millennium Kidz was born. We moved into the school in 2000, this is where the name Millennium Kidz N Kare came from. I love being in the school environment and both my children have gone to Dr. Coffin. Along with some of our staff!
I was remarried to a wonderful man, Don, who is semi-retired, and together we have four children Kelsey Kaitlyn Russ & Elizabeth. Kelsey lives and works in Red Deer doing Non- Destructive Testing Earning a Level 2 and continues to work for his next certification. Kaitlyn has been working with the younger group, and has since moved onto the Calgary Public Library as an Administrative Assistant. She graduated from Alberta College of Art, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Russ co/owns Millennium works with the older group of children while Elizabeth is working in the Software industry.
I have become Kuia (Granny) to two lovely Granddaughters Cilla & Ember.I love to bike, hike and travel, spending time with my family; it keeps me busy and happy.
